20 Apr Best of British
I am taking part in a lovely showcase on Facebook. There are a team of around 50 of us and every month or so we take part in a themed event, the title of April’s is ‘Best of British’. I have submitted 4 items, a mixture of new and old ideas.
The events are run by Cath from The Banner Boutique. She is a social media queen! Her imagination knows no bounds and she has a wonderful way of coming up with ideas and making them work.
Here are my submissions.A sweet strawberry hanging decoration made of beautiful red glitter fabric with embroidered pips and leaves. This is a new design, I love it when an idea pops into my head although this usually happens late at night and then I just *have* to get it made, even if it takes me into the wee hours!
This is an old favourite of mine. The original was a request from a friend at Christmas, it has remained a popular design. Who doesn’t love a bit of gin?!
I first made one of these hoops two summers ago. It proved really popular and I still get regular orders for it. It is a lovely sentiment, Fab lollies are delicious and it reminds everyone of summer, what more could you want?
This is a new idea for me. It is the first time I have attempted printing on fabric, I really like it. I kept this one simple, I thought it was more elegant with just a few bees around the edge. I can’t wait to play around with this a little more and see what I come up with!
Please pop over to the Facebook Best of British event on Sunday 26th April at 8pm and snap up some beautiful makes!
