Best of British

20 Apr Best of British

I am taking part in a lovely showcase on Facebook. There are a team of around 50 of us and every month or so we take part in a themed event, the title of April’s is ‘Best of British’. I have submitted 4 items, a mixture of new and old ideas.

The events are run by Cath from The Banner Boutique. She is a social media queen! Her imagination knows no bounds and she has a wonderful way of coming up with ideas and making them work.

Here are my submissions.Sparkly strawberry hanging decoration with hand embroidered detail.Measures approx. 12cm x 7cm£10 (£3 postage)A sweet strawberry hanging decoration made of beautiful red glitter fabric with embroidered pips and leaves. This is a new design, I love it when an idea pops into my head although this usually happens late at night and then I just *have* to get it made, even if it takes me into the wee hours!

6 - embroidery hoop featuring printed text and and delicately hand embroidered bees.Comes with a ribbon for hanging it on a wall.£25 (+ £3 postage) (1)

This is an old favourite of mine. The original was a request from a friend at Christmas, it has remained a popular design. Who doesn’t love a bit of gin?!

A lovely 9- hoop celebrating summer and good friends!£35 (+ £3 postage)

I first made one of these hoops two summers ago. It proved really popular and I still get regular orders for it. It is a lovely sentiment, Fab lollies are delicious and it reminds everyone of summer, what more could you want?

6 - embroidery hoop featuring printed text and and delicately hand embroidered bees.Comes with a ribbon for hanging it on a wall.£25 (+ £3 postage)

This is a new idea for me. It is the first time I have attempted printing on fabric, I really like it. I kept this one simple, I thought it was more elegant with just a few bees around the edge. I can’t wait to play around with this a little more and see what I come up with!

There are some wonderful pages joining in, Doodle ThreadPink Rabbit DesignsDanderoar DesignsBeautiful GreysCrafty Crochetand The Chalk Spot to name but a few.

Please pop over to the Facebook Best of British event on Sunday 26th April at 8pm and snap up some beautiful makes!
